Trauma Training

The Trauma Training class is designed to teach students with little or no medical knowledge how to provide life-saving first aid when accidents occur. At the end of the course, students will know how to stop life-threatening bleeding, stabilize fractures with splints, and prepare casualties for transport to a medical facility.

Instructors

David Hodge (Primary Instructor) is a retired Special Forces medic with numerous combat deployments. He has over a decade of experience teaching point-of-injury trauma management to special operations soldiers, first responders and civilians.

Craig Barstow, MD (Medical Director) is a board-certified Family Physician. A retired Army veteran, he deployed to combat zones in support of Special Forces soldiers. He works as a hospitalist and an emergency physician in North Carolina and has written numerous articles for major medical journals as well as lectured at national medical conventions.
