Camps are two weeks long with live performances on location at 940 Holt Rd, Sanford, NC.
Junior Camp: Mary Poppins, Jr

Ages 8-18
All of London is shouting from the rooftops about this exciting stage adaptation of the classic tales of Mary Poppins. Join the Banks family as they encounter adventure after fun-filled adventure with their curious new nanny, Mary Poppins. Adapted especially for young performers, this musical includes favorite Sherman brothers songs such as “A Spoonful of Sugar,” “Feed the Birds,” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” as well as wonderful new songs by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. With colorful characters and an irresistible score, Mary Poppins JR. is sure to be a crowd-pleaser for all ages!
Cost of camp: $365 ($350 w/cash or check)
Includes one recording of the performance, for personal use only.
Auditions will be held on the first day of camp.

Senior Camp: Anything Goes

Ages 13-20
Anything Goes is Cole Porter’s 1934 musical comedy. Billy Crocker, a young Wall Street executive, meets and falls in love with socialite Hope Harcourt. When he goes to the berth of the S.S. America to drop off some papers for his boss, Wall Street tycoon Elisha J. Whitney, and say goodbye to his friend, night club singer, Reno Sweeney, he finds Hope is a passenger on the ship, and is going to marry Englishman, Lord Oakleigh, upon arrival in England.
Mad with love, Billy stows away on the S.S. America. With the help of Reno and Public Enemy Number 13, “Moonface” Martin, Billy hopes to persuade Hope to marry him, and not Lord Oakley.
What will happen aboard the S.S. America? Will everyone find a happy ending? Anything Goes!

Summer Theatre Camp Show Director: Chase Coston

Chase Coston (Show Director) is a high school theatre teacher at Union Pines High School. He has been directing shows and camps across North Carolina for 4 years. He attended East Carolina University where he graduated with BFAs in both Musical Theatre Performance and Theatre Arts Education. His passion for theatre and working with students has won him awards for both his teaching (Union Pines High School Beginning Teacher of the year 2023, Moore County School Beginning Teacher of the Year 2023) and his directing (NCTC Excellence in Directing Award 2022, 2024). Outside of directing and teaching, he also enjoys dancing, playwriting, and is an avid Shakespeare enthusiast. He is excited to be bringing opportunities for students and children to learn and grow as performers during the summer with Ingaboo Books.
Assistant Director, Leah Jones

Leah Jones is a theater education major at Appalachian State University (ASU). She started her directing career as a junior in high school in 2021 at STARS Charter School and her goal is to teach elementary students. She is a member of the theater honors society, Alpha Psi Omega (APO) and recently made her directing debut for the club. Her summers have been spent directing and working at various theatre camps. She is very excited for the opportunity to work with students again at Ingaboo Books.
Musical Director, Mary Poppins Jr: Charlynn Walker

Charlynn Walker is a performer and music educator originally from Moore County, NC. After spending 20 years in New York City performing and teaching, she returned home to share her love of the arts with her community.
She teaches private voice and piano and is the Pre-K through 8th grade music teacher at St. John Paul II Catholic School. Charlynn has performed with Sunrise Theatre, Encore Performing Arts, and sings with the Moore County Choral Society.
She had a great time being part of the team for last year’s productions of Oliver Jr. and Alice by Heart, and is excited to return as Musical Director for Mary Poppins Jr.
She’s passionate about helping students build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music and theatre and is thankful for the opportunity to do what she loves.
